“If I hear one more person tell me how ‘important it is to network’, then I am going TO LOSE MY SHIT!!!!!”

^ Does this sound like you?

Because it sure as hell sounds like me.

Hi, I’m Brianne (She/Her)

Over the past 5 years, I’ve built up a coaching and consulting business. And one of the hardest things for my clients (and folks who love to watch my career/business RANTS over on Instagram) is this:

Authentic Networking is super freaking HARD.

It’s hard to find other professionals to network with, it’s hard to meet new people as an adult and it’s just… HARD.

It’s even hard for me, and I feel 110% confident in talking to literally anyone on God’s green earth.

“There has got to be an easier way to network!!!” ——> Something I’ve been muttering to myself for literal years.

But…. What if *I* was the networking event?

Students in my courses and and business coaching groups have been able to learn and network alongside eachother, which I am super jazzed about.

But there’s a lot of folks I know who are rad professionals (and super cool, yes, I’m talking about you!) that don’t really need those courses.

So, it occured to me –

What if I acted as a sort of networking matchmaker, hosting a week-long event where people were matched up with other folks – based on their personalities, interests and longterm goals. I’m really good at connecting past clients with new clients, tagging folks on social media, and honestly making sure everyone is having a blast online.

I bet you can see where I’m going with this, right?

NOTE: While I’m stoked about the result of this client/student, I can’t make a guarantee on every student attaining this income level! This is dependent on your work, your blog niche and the economy – plus a host of other factors. Results not typical.

Introducing: Networking Soirée

After noodling on this for a while, and filling up a lot of loose leaf printer paper with ideas (ranging from a retreat in New Orleans to a full on digital conference), I’ve designed a structure to make some authentic magic happen.

The Networking Soirée is a week long event that uses group networking, curated and thoughtful 1:1 introductions and workshops to connect rad professionals with other rad professionals.

Keep on scrolling down to see the overview:

What You’re Signing Up For

All activities are 100% consent based. If there is something below that doesn’t jive with you, then you can opt out! Here’s what I have planned:

1:1 Introductions

Every participant will be matched to 3 other individuals, based on interests, personality and longterm goals. Real talk this part is 100% selfish, because I have a whole mental list of who I want to connect – and we’re just gonna get it ALLLLL done here.

Examples:

  • Connecting small business owners who have a similar aesthetic, ethos and/or target customer

  • Connecting individuals with similar professional goals

  • Connecting people who have a sort of je ne sais quoi – using my intuition to connect them

I’ll introduce folks 1:1, and give you a mini project to work on together, so you have a reason to get on a call. For my introverted and shy besties, I will likely offer the option to have 3 folks on a call!

POD PEOPLE – ERRRR, GROUPS! POD GROUPS!

From there, I’ll then create 3-5 pods of folks (12-15 people in each), hosting mini networking events where folks can show up as their full self and meet other folks. This is gonna be tailored to the group – for instance, the pod for actors and performers is gonna be structured a bit differently from a pod of professionals who enjoy tea, stillness, cookware and houseplants.

I will facilitate all of the pod meetings, and introduce each person to the group! So BONUS, no one will ask you to “share a fun fact,” because I got it!

During the pod group meeting, I will share a specific professional development workshop that is tailored to that group!

Every participant will be a member of 1 pod.

2 Workshops

Finally there will be 2 workshops, provided by yours truly on NETWORKING. During these workshops, I’ll share actionable skills on how to network on social media (woohoo) and how to network IRL.

This sounds like a LOT to shove in one week, which is why I have included a “set up” week before we jump in.

LET’S make connections.

Week One (1-2 Hours of Effort From You)

  • Intros to 1:1 connections & projects

  • Announcement of Specific Pods // Affinity Groups

  • Creation of pods & intros (Some on Facebook, some on Discord. Group will vote!)

  • Creation of group for all participants (Facebook Group)

Week Two (Actual Shindig!)

  • October 11: Welcome Workshop & Intros

  • October 12: Pod Meetings from 6-10PM

  • October 13: Pod Meetings from 6-10PM

  • October 14: Workshop #2 // Everyone

  • October 15: Networking Soirée: Get dressed up in a Halloween costume, your fave overalls, a gown with a crown (or a tux with a tiara). Wear that outfit in your close that you love – but have nowhere to wear it! During this session we may have guest performances, TBD. ;)

Participants are Self-Selecting

The whole ETHOS behind this week is that we’re going to create some magic and get to know new people! That said, here are some things to note:

  • Fuck white supremacy. All participants will be required to review a document on microaggressions before gaining access to the these online spaces. If folks pull racist shit or have a white feelings meltdown, they will be removed from the event.

  • This event celebrates historically marginalized ethnic and racial groups.

  • This event celebrates Trans people, gender non-conforming folks, peeps who identify as non-binary, agender people, two spirit individuals and intersex folks.

COST // $249

This event has a cap of 50 people, because that’s the number of people me (and my small but mighty) team think will work for this. We want enough people to mix things up, but not so many people we’re overwhelmed.

  • $249 per participant, paid here

Scholarship spots are available! Please request info here.

Reserve your spot for $89, balance due by October 1, 2021.

About Me (Brianne)

Hey there! My name is Brianne Huntsman (she/her), and I’m a white, cisgender queer person living in the USA. I take an intersectional approach to all my coaching sessions, with the knowledge that power dynamics and “isms” means that different folks have to utilize different strategies when going after their goals.

I became a coach accidentally-on-purpose, when I realized I should start charging for all of the time I was spending on the phone giving advice (ie coaching) people.

I’ve taken my background in product design (woo Stanford engineering), love of personal development and marketing//recruiting knowledge to create this here course. It takes you (the student) on an intentionally designed journey, teaching you strategies and frameworks to use out in the real world.

If you want to creep more on me and my experience, click around this website, my blog, and my plethora of social media handles (linked below in the footer).

Also, I’m ALWAYS down to discuss a course or event and whether I think it’ll be a fit for a particular person. Feel free to drop me a note with your questions!
