Selling is ICKY.

3-part webinar series

July 7, 10 & 14

Let’s make some money, motherfuckers! <3

This proram is during the fall, hence a fun mean witch costume & aesthetic. Like, I could’ve used a photo of me in a blazer, but where’s the fun in that?!

Everyone says, “Everything is sales!”

Which is true.

And this phrase can also make a number of good hearted people feel absolutely nauseated.

Also, to be clear – this isn’t a DOOM AND GLOOM course. We’re going to have fun, laugh, maybe cry a little – we’re going on an adventure. I quite literally chose the images on this post to reflect luxury, space, contemplation, rest and discernment - also HUMOR. Because life is funny AF, and we’re on a rock hurtling through space. This shit is glorious and ridiculous!!

Hi, I’m Brianne (she/her)! I’m an entrepreneur, general pain in the ass, business leader, fashion designer and all around queer menace.

I’ve been in sales my whole life, from trying to sell a math teacher in the 9th grade to bump me up from an A- to an A (something he did for a boy in my class, but wouldn’t do for me — thanks for the sexism, Mr. Paulsen!) because I wanted to get into Stanford to trying to figure out how to ethically pitch freelancing clients in my early 20’s.

I was born with a knack for selling, and that skill was honed in a home environment where my parents, were, well, always selling. From selling business clients on a new tech innovation (my dad) to selling clients on how she could help them with their health goals (my mom), I have been selling since birth. Basically.

Selling is sharing your position on a specific topic and doing your best to get someone else to buy in. Sometimes, you’re selling a specific product or service. And other times, you’re selling something more nuanced.

We’re always selling.

And we can do it ethically.

Read on!!

queer doom ahead

Selling was going pretty great for me, until I realized I was gay — then queer, and then all of the sudden I developed an uncomfy awareness around late capitalism and what it means to sell.

My parents are really rad, great and ethical people — and they taught me how to sell solutions that fit the customer’s problem.

No problem? No need to sell something!

But there was (and is!) another few layers to selling that makes good hearted people (that’s you) feel bad about selling. There is additional training and engagement neede around ethical consent and ENTHUSIASTIC consent when it comes to SELLINGGGGG!

And I think it is the LACK of that education that makes most people reach for a paper bag when they hear the phrase, “Everything is sales.”

Questions like:

  • How do I make sure I’m not pressuring people into buying? How do I practice enthusiastic consent when selling?

  • I feel weird about money. Doesn’t asking for money for… anything make me a bad person?

  • How do I avoid leveraging or taking advantage of someone’s weakness in the sales process?

It all boils down to:

“How do I engage in sales relationships and maintain my integrity?”

The phrase “Everything is sales” makes good hearted people wince. But we also know that we’re always selling. You’re selling a solution you want to try to your boss, selling your partner(s) on a specific vacation, and selling your dog on why peeing on THAT particular spot is unhelpful.

And I want you to know that you can sell your skills, you can sell to clients & customers and you can “sell” to your loved ones and best pals without being a terrible person whose personal politics align with certain billionaires.

You see, in our rush to avoid selling, we also avoid sharing our work, our offering and making progress in our lives.

The Coaching Approach - I’m Coming with Gentleness & Holding Space

In my coaching programs, I’m known for being mean. I literally have run coaching groups called, “Brianne is a MF Bitch.”

Know thyself, lol.

BUT, because there is duality in all things – with this group I am coming to hold space, facilitate and approach all interactions with gentle accountability.

This program has been gestating within me for a while, and I truly believe you already know what you want – but the process to make space to explore and receive that information can be scary.

I am here to facilitate the glorious unfurling of you, beloved.

I will gently pushback on excuses as to why things don’t get done, and I am intentionally creating this space to be one of gentleness and reflection. Of allowing your path to unfold for you.

Personal Work & Journal

Each week will include 2-3 hours of personal exploration in the program journal (AKA “workbook”), and I will dynamically engage with you on your work, if desired. I will be dedicating Thursday mornings to engage with your work and be a sounding board.

Also! The journal isn’t just for writers. Some folks will choose to do their personal work through voice notes, collaging, sketching, dance. This is a whole process, and I’m excited to work with you to develop different ways for you to engage with your inner Self.
