Do you ever feel like there’s a ~Professional Growth Guidebook~ for growing one’s career?

Like it feels as if EVERYBODY ELSE got this guidebook, and you’re kind of flailing around, trying (and often failing) to figure things out?

you’re not alone.

In my work as a career coach, I’ve found that many professionals are missing out on key information that will help them grow their careers. The kind of information that’s critical to advancing in one’s career, and the kind of information that one doesn’t even know to ask about.

And one of the main reasons behind this is classism, or put another (softer) way – intergenerational knowledge.

Usually, this kind of critical information is shared within families. And if your career goals or path is different from your parents, or a majority of your family, well, congrats!

You’re the guinea pig.

The well-meaning career advice from the people in your network isn’t super helpful, because their experience isn’t necessarily applicable to yours. Their support and experience is still valuable (duh), but they don’t have the same frame of reference as you!

Do you ask yourself these questions:

  1. “How do I figure out if a potential new employer is a fit (and not a secret garbage company)?”

  2. “How do I calculate and negotiate a salary? Or get a promotion?”

  3. “How do I share negative feedback with my boss/coworkers?”

  4. “WTF is personal branding? How do I build my brand?” (If this makes you want to breathe into a paper bag, you’re not alone)

  5. “How do I plan my career path?” (A “10 Year Plan” is BS, but it’s helpful BS!)

Time to level the EFF UP.

Here’s the thing. These are great questions, and they should be tackled. I mean the kind of “throw yourself at a problem and sit with it” kind of time given. But often folks who try to do this work solo find themselves spiraling into an existential crisis.

That’s where I come in!

Let’s Build You Up

I’ve designed this course (info below) to help you answer these questions, as well as to give you critical professional skills that you’ll likely not find elsewhere.

I’ve worked as a headhunter (recruiter), resume overhauler, interview coach and I want to give you this knowledge to help you make 2020 the year you start to see explosive professional growth.

Basically, I’m the aggressive cheerleader/coach for your professional life. LET’S FREAKING DO THIS!

~Le SCHEDULE~

I can’t shove everything we’ll cover in this description (it would be a LOT of text), so I’m calling out the super important stuff:

  • Monday, January 6: Appreciating Our Lineage & Acknowledging Limitations // In this class, I’ll talk about how professional knowledge is passed down through families, and why your well-meaning parents (or aunts/uncles/grandparents/etc) may not have the best advice. I’ll discuss how to show appreciation for the work that they have done, while also giving actionable ways you can give yourself permission to do things differently.

  • Tuesday, January 7: Power in the Workplace // In this class, we’re going to discuss professional power dynamics, and how to work them to help you get your shit done and advance. From sharing negative feedback on a manager’s performance, to dealing with coworker drama to understanding when you should GTFO. I’ll also discuss the place of activism in the workplace, and the pros/cons of creating organizational change. You’ll leave this class with helpful scripts and key phrases to use during conflict.

  • Wednesday, January 8: MONEYYYYY MOFOS! // In this class, I’ll talk about how to set yourself up for great performance reviews, how to create presentations to ask for (and GET) a raise and how to manage the job hunting/poaching process to your advantage. We’ll also discuss negative feelings around money (money ISN’T evil), and key steps to help you grow your personal wealth and giving practices.

  • Thursday, January 9: Branding // We know building a personal brand is important, but WTF does “personal brand” actually mean??? I’ll succinctly define a personal brand, as well as give an easy-to-implement strategy to help you grow your profile within your industry leading to more lucrative positions and opportunities.

  • Friday, January 10: Career Planning // In this class, I’ll teach you how to plan out your career trajectory using internet research and snooping on social media. I’ll also teach you how to find and secure helpful mentors and grow your network in an authentic way.

LET’S move on up.

Class is ONLINE

Classes will be held at 8PM MST. Course videos will be stored in a Facebook group, where I’ll also answer questions throughout the week. Videos (via FB Live) will be available for as long as Zuck Inc keeps FB groups and their content around. ❤
